JADE RECTOR (she/they) is a queer illustrator and designer based in Chicago. After graduating from Columbia College Chicago with a BFA in illustration and a minor in education, they found that the ultimate way to combine their love of drawing, typography, kids, color, and organized chaos was to delve into the world of publishing. They currently work as a designer at Random House Children’s books, specializing in jackets and highly illustrated interiors for middle grade readers. They are an avid sketchbooker and spend their nights filling pages with vampires, dogs, and fashionable kids.
